  Sand Digger Wasp (Ammophila sabulosa)

Location: Studland Bay, Dorset, Uk.

Sometimes called a Spider Hunting Wasp
I wish I had seen this wasp attack a house spider from the beginning as it had already stung this spider the spider being partly paralyzed was being walked to the wasps burrow. The wasp would have laid an egg and the spider would have been eaten alive by the wasp larvae. The wasp was struggling to get the wasp out of a dip in the sand and flew away I only had my zoom lens fixed so my resulting picture was small in frame so I cropped and scaled the picture on a transparency scanner.
