The body of the bird is from a pheasant and the wings are from a Partridge, both collected from road kills. The bids were then strung up with fishing line in my garden and photographed. Wings were then copied in layers in Photoshop at varied opacity. The pixy body is from a picture of my youngest son and the head from my eldest son. The head was the longest to create using a "Jack-go-to-bed-at-noon seed head and shells. Background picture of the poppy field was adjusted in motion blur in photoshop.
Camera: Canon 50E, 35mm Drum scan for bird, Flatbed scanner for original boy pictures and Fuji S1 digital camera for poppy background.
