Cowslip by Andy

Cowslip Flower (Primula Veris)

I always enjoy taking pictures of this pretty spring flower which flowers throughout April and May, which is pollinated by insects, like butterflies, moths, and bees.
I have seen and photographed this flower covering a large area of a cattle grazed field on chalk hill downs of Farley Mount, in Hampshire as this flower prefers open grassland than shady areas.

Early pollinating insects like the brimstone butterfly  are frequent visitors to the Cowslip flower.
