I always like to keep one of these beautiful tarantulas in my collection, I once had quite few adult pairs which sold very quickly.

Temperature: 24 to 28ēC

Humidity: 60 to 70%.

An attractive tarantula with lovely golden yellow knees and striping on the legs which shows more after each skin change also has long pinkish hairs. Egg sacks are large and can contain up to 800 eggs. This is a huge species I remember feeding my large juvenile Chaco spider a large hissing cockroach, this is a huge beetle and it spent all day eating it and I was surprised that it left nothing. It had eaten the hard shell, legs everything and following week still ate five large crickets.

Like most of my terrestrial spiders, they have large clay flowerpots to hide in or logs, but the Chaco spend most of there time stretched out in the open on a silk bed. So they do make a nice display spider and do not bite or flick urticating hair so a joy to keep and very docile to handle, highly recommended.
