Burnished Brass Moth (Diachrysia Chrysitis)

I have only ever found this attractive moth in my moth trap and it is always worth taking pictures especially if it is in good condition. As it has bright metallic brass-golden colouring on the forewings from which it gets its name. It has two generations a year, moths are on the wing between June and September.  The green caterpillars which hibernate feed on stinging nettle.
